From 22 - 29 April, your donation to PBI UK’s work supporting environmental rights defenders will be doubled!

PBI UK is delighted to have been chosen for the Big Give’s Green Match Fund. This week-long fundraising campaign aims to raise millions for some of the UK’s best charities working on environmental issues.

PBI is committed to scale up our support for grassroots land, environmental and Indigenous defenders globally. We can’t tackle climate change and hold governments and corporations to account without grassroots activism, and yet many of those on the front line are being threatened, imprisoned and attacked. PBI is receiving record numbers of request for protection and support. Your doubled donation will help us to respond.

That’s why, this week, we’re asking for your help to raise £8,000 - which will be doubled by the Green Match Fund - to roll out our life-saving protection to more defenders, and ensure that capacity building projects plus legal and wellbeing resources reach the communities risking their lives to tackle some of the biggest challenges facing our planet.

Remember, for every £10 you donate, we receive £20. So please give generously.

Environmental defenders face violence, threats and smears at the hands of corporations, criminals and governments who want to silence their activism. On Earth Day, PBI launched this fundraiser for our critical protective work and training that keeps defenders safe, alive and heard. For one week only, donations will be doubled through the Big Give Green Match Fund. This will increase our ability to provide security, advocacy, and legal support for those who need it most.
