Donate now - Stand Between a Defender and the Danger

Human rights defenders are the front line of justice. PBI is their shield. Your donation provides the physical presence, legal support, and political pressure needed to keep them safe.

What will your donation do?

  • £10 for Emergency Response: Ensures urgent alerts are sent to global support networks and decision-makers the moment a defender is threatened.

  • £30 for Field Presence: Sends a trained international volunteer to provide life-saving accompaniment to a community in danger.

  • £100 for Digital Resilience: Funds a specialist digital security workshop, helping a threatened organisation protect their data from surveillance.

  • £1,000 for International Advocacy: Brings a defender to the UK for vital respite, safety training, and the chance to speak directly to Parliament.

Why Your Support Matters

  • Recently, PBI’s presence was the "tipping point" for justice across the globe:

    • In Colombia: We helped pass the world's first law to protect women searching for the disappeared.

    • In Mexico: We stood with Indigenous communities to successfully close a "landfill of death" threatening their water.

    • In Guatemala: 10 years of PBI accompaniment led to a landmark conviction for crimes against journalists.

Make Your Gift Go 25% Further

Are you a UK taxpayer?

Through the Government’s Gift Aid scheme, PBI UK can claim an extra 25p for every £1 you give, at no cost to you.

This extra funding is vital for our sustainability. For example, a £100 donation becomes £125, enough to fund an entire digital security workshop for a threatened community.

How to do it: If donating via bank transfer or cheque, please download and return our Gift Aid Form (PDF).

Online: If donating via a platform like JustGiving, simply tick the Gift Aid box during checkout.
