Solidarity with human rights defenders will change the world.

We would like to thank you for supporting the work of PBI UK, and the courageous human rights defenders in our network.

This year needs to be a turning point for human rights defenders. With your support, we will make it happen. Over the next year, we’ll continue our vital work to:

• Provide the tools, resources and protective strategies that activists and communities need, so they can speak out without fear of death, violence or criminalisation, including our innovative protective accompaniment work and new digital security strategies

• Roll out innovative training programmes that increase the capacity of defenders, such as our digital workshops for those working on business-led human rights violations who need support navigating and utilising complex international laws, which have reached over 100 activists from 17 countries.

• Ensure that activists at the local level are heard by those who can make a difference, hosting meaningful discussions and spotlighting the work of those at the grassroots to find solutions to global problems

• Advocate for the respect of defenders at the national and international level, joining forces with other leading human rights organisations to collectively push the UK government to do more to support and protect activists around the world.
